Did anyone actually go on the free trip with worldmark by wyndham?
I just went to a presentation for Worldmark by wyndham. ofcourse they tried to get you to purchase the resort package but it was way too expenisve and then you are stuck with it. I said no but i was still given some paper with a confirmation number for a free trip to Las Vegas. It says i have to pay no more than $95 for taxes and then $50refundable fee (per person so $100) has to be sent in with the confirmation paper. After they receive the confirmation paper they will send me paperwork back along with the $50 refundable fee. First of all why am i sending in $50 if they are sending it right back and has anyone actually gone through with the free trip? Are there hidden fees? And why cant i just call and have them tell me what dates are available so i can choose. Whats with this turtle mail back and forth?
It’s a scam. It’s a very good thing that you are smart enough to question it. They are relying on those who won’t read the fine print to go for this. It’s similar to those checks that credit cards offer. If you look at it it says hundreds of dollars, then on the back in teeny tiny writing it says “By signing this you are joining this club”. Don’t go for it. And that is also right, what’s the point of sending in $50 if you are getting it back? IT’s a scam.
